Toronto Painters AI Free estimate

How we estimate

Every number the estimator shows comes from the tables on this page, applied to your answers. The AI writes the explanation; it never touches the maths.

Four principles

  1. Deterministic. Same answers, same range, every time. The estimate is computed in your browser from rate tables version 2026.09. The explanation and the follow-up answers are assembled by a rule-based writing engine from your answers, these tables and our guides. There is no language model, no server and nothing that can drift.
  2. Ranges, not fake precision. Painting prices move with prep and access, which nobody can know without seeing the surfaces. We show a low and a high and round to the nearest $50.
  3. Private by design. Nothing you enter leaves your browser. The whole tool, maths and words, ships with the page.
  4. Toronto specific. The tables reflect a professional, insured Toronto crew, and the area factor nudges for downtown parking and access or GTA suburbs.
  5. No invented statistics. Nothing here is an "average Toronto price". These are working assumptions we publish so you can check any quote against them.

Schedule assumptions

A painter finishes about 900 sq ft of wall and ceiling per day inside (two coats) and 600 outside, or about 12 cabinet fronts. The typical crew is 2.

The confidence indicator

High means you gave measurements and a condition. Each answer that falls back to a typical value (room counts instead of square footage, a footprint preset, an unknown siding) lowers it one step. Low is still a useful ballpark, but expect a site visit to move the number.

What is never in the estimate

From estimate to quote

The estimator gets you a realistic range so you can budget and sanity-check quotes. For an exact price, a painter has to walk the job. All Painting is the Toronto contractor we recommend; the result card links straight to their contact page.
